Our Spiritual Foundation & Commitments
Welcome to A Month of Sundays.
Here at the Monkey Ranch, we believe God’s Word is a gift meant to be shared with kindness, humility, and love.
A Month of Sundays is our little place for exploring the Bible, discovering the teachings of Jesus Christ, and learning what it means to walk through everyday life with faith, hope, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We believe parents and families have a special place in a child’s spiritual development. Our stories and lessons are intended to encourage those family conversations, never to replace them.
We don’t claim to have every answer. But we believe the Good Book points us toward the One who does.
You’re welcome to come inside, read a little, think a little, and stay as long as you like.
There’s no obligation here.
Just an open door, a welcoming heart, and a porchlight that stays on.
What We Believe
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer, who came into this world to reveal the Father’s love, gave His life for our sins, and rose again so that through Him we might receive forgiveness and everlasting life.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s abiding presence with His people, teaching, comforting, guiding, and helping believers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, revealing His truth, His promises, and His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ.
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, and not something we can earn through our own efforts.
We believe children are precious in God’s sight, and that parents bear a special responsibility for nurturing their children’s spiritual understanding.
Above all, we believe the greatest commandments are to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Our Commitments to Families
1. We Respect the Role of Parents
We believe parents have the primary responsibility for guiding their children’s spiritual development. Our stories and lessons are intended to support family conversations about faith, never to replace parental guidance or the teaching of a family’s church.
2. We Teach with Scripture as Our Foundation
We are committed to presenting biblical teachings faithfully, thoughtfully, and in language that children and families can understand. We encourage everyone to open their own Bible, examine the Scriptures, and seek understanding through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
3. We Remember That Children Are Precious
Children deserve kindness, patience, encouragement, and respect. Our lessons are intended to nurture faith, hope, honesty, compassion, and the courage to make wise decisions. We seek to teach without using fear, shame, or emotional pressure.
4. We Respect Your Family’s Privacy
You do not need to register, identify yourself, or provide personal information simply to read our lessons. We will not ask children to share private information through our teaching pages. Parents should supervise their children’s online activities and communications.
5. We Share Without Pressure or Obligation
Our purpose is to share God’s Word, not to measure responses or demand participation. Visitors are welcome to read, reflect, and return whenever they wish. No one is required to report what they believe, what they have learned, or how they have responded.
6. We Recognize That We Are Still Learning
We do not claim perfect understanding of every passage of Scripture. We approach God’s Word with reverence, humility, and a willingness to keep learning. When questions arise, we encourage thoughtful study, prayer, and conversations with parents, pastors, and trusted Christian teachers.
7. We Remember Whose Message This Is
A Month of Sundays is not about building recognition for ourselves. It is about pointing people toward Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word.
We believe our responsibility is to share that message faithfully and lovingly.
What happens in a person’s heart belongs to God.
We do not need confirmation that His message is delivered.
Our Continuing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for every child, every parent, every grandparent, and every family who finds their way to this little corner of the Monkey Ranch.
We may never know their names, their circumstances, or the burdens they carry. But You know them, Lord. You know their hearts, their hopes, their struggles, and their needs.
We ask that Your Word bring light where there is confusion, comfort where there is sorrow, courage where there is fear, and hope where hope has grown faint.
Bless the children, Father. Guard their innocence, nurture their curiosity, and help them grow in wisdom, kindness, and faith.
Give parents and grandparents patience, understanding, and the wisdom to guide the young hearts entrusted to their care.
And Holy Spirit, we ask You to do what only You can do.
Open hearts to God’s truth. Bring understanding where our words fall short. Remind those who read these lessons that they are never beyond the reach of God’s love.
Help us remember that this little ministry belongs to You.
We are simply tending the porchlight.
You are the One who brings the light.
May everything we share point toward Jesus Christ, and may everything we do bring honor and glory to His name.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray.
Amen.
